About

My name is Rosario and I struggled with porn addiction.

I had never known anything about sex and how my body worked. So I came upon pornography, which fed me lies about love, sexuality, relationships and my own identity and self-worth.

Since 2016, I have been sober from porn, but continue to be affected by the lies that have been ingrained in my mind, heart and soul.

Initially named Witness & Empower, Talitha Ministries started off in April 2017 as a personal blog to share my witness through media. I found the topic of sexual addiction to be a huge taboo topic within the Catholic Church and a desire grew within me to share my own witness of the brokenness she experienced from my own addictions with pornography, masturbation and disordered love & sexuality.

And so Talitha Ministries expanded as a ministry for purity, authenticity and healing, to help and empower women struggling with sexual sin through online resources as well as holistic coaching.

For a long time I believed that I was the only Catholic girl struggling with these massive issues of sexual sin, including masturbation, physical intimacy and watching pornography.

But I know I am not alone.

Porn addiction is not a “guys’ issue”

Porn addiction is no longer just a “guy problem”. It is common for women to also experience a struggle with porn addiction. It a rising issue among women in this Century, especially because we live in a society saturated with sexualised images. But although there are many women around the world in the same shoes, it is a topic that is not talked about because of the shame that surrounds it.

The fact is porn habits among women are becoming more prevalent in this day and age…

If you are a Catholic or Christian woman struggling with sexual sin of any kind, know that you are not alone. Whether you are struggling with porn, masturbation or lust YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

God is a Loving and Merciful Father who has created you and I to be gifts to the world. If God can love a broken soul such as mine then He loves yours too! No matter where you’re from, no matter what you’ve been through, no matter what sins you have committed, God will always and forever love you.

Always and forever remember that: You are beautiful, you are worthy, you are loved because God loved you first.

So let’s battle against the fangs of impurity together in community, let’s share each others’ witness to remove the veil of shame that silences us from seeking support and let’s empower one another as sisters in Christ.

For “just as one body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptised by one Spirit so as to form one body – whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.”
(1 Corinthians 12:12-13).
